CodeChef was started in 2009 as an educational initiative for the programming community by Directi, an Indian software products company. Today, CodeChef is one of the world’s largest and popular global competitive programming platforms preferred by student & professional programmers. In
2020, CodeChef was added under the aegis of the Unacademy brand.
CodeChef promotes constant learning and friendly programming competitions for its users, along with the support of its large community of problem curators.
CodeChef was created as a platform to help programmers make it big in the world of algorithms, computer programming, and programming contests. It hosts three featured contests every month (Long Challenge, CookOff, LunchTime & Starters) and gives away prizes and goodies to the
winners as
encouragement. Apart from these, the platform is also open to the entire programming community, especially academic institutes, and student bodies, to host their own contests.
Different domains we work in
Harshit Sharma is a Pre Final Year srudent pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from SRMIST. He is the Competitive Programming Lead of CodeChef SRM NCR Chapter. A diligent, motivated and a rational person, he has what it takes to lead a team of fine coders. Having an immense experience in Competitive Programming gives him the edge over others and also drives him to teach and guide his juniors.
His interests include data Science and Machine Learning and Web Development. He has previously worked as a Data Science Intern at LetsGrowMore. Presently he is working as a Project Intern at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia and has undertaken multiple research projects in the field of Medical Healthcare.

Jeevansh Gagroo is the President of CodeChef SRM NCR Chapter, currently a CSE Undergraduate in his pre final year at SRMIST, NCR. He has previously worked in the Competitive Programming team as well as the overall management team.
Presently he is working as a Research Intern at CSIRO's Data 61, Australia on the subject matter of Analysing Robustness of Deep Neural Networks. He is also working as a project intern at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. His keen research interests and domains include Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He is also involved in building several projects on a personal level and working on multiple research papers at the moment in the fields of IoT, Real-Time Systems and Application of Machine Learning in Medical Healthcare.
His positive outlook makes him a self-driven individual looking to ace through the many challenges he faces.
Unnati Sadh is a 3rd-year Undergrad who is currently the Chairperson of the CodeChef SRM NCR Chapter. She believes in being disciplined and is enthusiastic about her interests in Tech domains. She has been part of several Research projects and has 1 publication in the Indian Journal Of Scientific Research.
She has previously worked as a research intern at TU Delft, Netherlands and is presently working as a project intern at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.
She has always been a people person and thus she has open doors for helping others. Her personal interests lie in playing specific sports like badminton, football and swimming.

The Development Lead of CodeChef SRM NCR Chapter, Tanish Khare is a CSE Undergraduate in his pre final year at SRMIST, NCR. He is pursuing a specialization in the field of Cybersecurity in Computer Systems. He has been an active executive member of the club since February 2021 and has previously worked with Development team.
Presently, he is working as a Software Intern at Obliq Labs, India, where he is developing multiple REST APIs in Golang and maintaining Core infrastructure deployment of the firm on Cloud Service Providers like AWS. He has worked on various Open-Source Projects before and his current interests are DevOps and Blockchain.
He is a tech enthusiast who is avidly inclined towards solving real-life problems by applying his knowledge of Computer Sciences. He believes it is important to be learn and understand concepts and not just memorise them.

An inquisitive personality and a smart-working young man, Arijit has amazing leadership qualities which he juggles with being an exemplary team-player. He shows great confidence and promise which is reflected in his work. A meticulous young man, constantly striving for better comprehension of any material and bringing new ideas to the table. He the CodeChef community in August 2021 and was in the media and outreach where he handled, the Youtube projects. He was then made the Youtube team lead in August 2022, for the astounding work and leadership skills he reflected.
